Even though we are only into February, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza’s post and pre-wedding parties could go on to be strong contenders for the 2012’s most well-attended dos. Spread over a few days, the functions saw Bollywood’s leading ladies and men ditch Western formals in favour of traditional Indian wear. But getting our vote for being the head-turner is the bride herself. Genelia chose her outfits well and looked resplendent in a pale pink and ivory lehenga by Manish Malhotra which she wore for the sangeet. The make-up was subtle and the outfit was paired with elegant diamond and emerald jewellery. We liked the fact that the blushing bride wore her hair in an updo, a welcome change indeed. She also used her winning smile as the perfect accessory.
