Last year, Hong Kong movie industry has made a breakthrough with the well-received 3D SEX AND ZEN, the world's first 3D softcore movie which grossed more than HK$40 million at the box-office. Now producer Stephen Shiu Jr has recently revealed that he plans to release a 4D sequel to the movie.
So what's 4D going to be? Shiu goes in length where he is toying with the idea of having moviegoers watch the movie in cinema seats that vibrate (a technology that has already been installed in at least one Hong Kong cinema) at various points throughout the movie. This would add an extra dimension for the viewers to experience the movie further.
The sequel will be tentatively titled as 4D SEX AND ZEN: SLAYER OF A THOUSAND FROM THE MYSTERIOUS EAST. Shiu also acknowledged about the complaint viewers have raised out their voice for the first movie.
They felt that the racy scenes in the first film were not intense enough. This time we will be paying more attention to that, and will be enlisting the aid of experts from Japan to direct these scenes.
Shiu also hopes the introduction of 4D will help the sequel surpass 3D SEX AND ZEN at the box-office.
