The one minute promo trailer of Urumi has created a big buzz around the film.
It has become the most viewed and discussed Indian film on the Internet.
Genelia, the heroine of the film has been getting the maximum accolades for her stunt scenes and look in the film.
Santosh Sivan in an interview to a newspaper said: “Genelia plays a princess and a Portugese killer; her character is etched out of a real-life princess who lived in Kannur during the 16th century. She has done some awesome sword fight scenes and is the romantic pair of Prithvi”.
In fact, Genelia had undergone a short training in Kalaripayattu, the martial arts of Kerala for doing the role.
All her friends and well-wishers have been tweeting about the promo of the film.

Urumi though being a Malayalam film it gained lot of attention as the film is being made in Tamil, Hindi and English.The film stars Prithviraj, Genelia, Vidya Balan, Tabu and Prabhu Deva in the lead roles while Arya, Nithya Menon, Chandan Roy Sanya and others play supporting roles. The Tamil version of the film is titled as Pathinaindham Nootrandu Uraivaal (PNU) while the English version is named as The Boy Who Wanted to Kill Vasco Da Gama.
The film is based on fictional story that takes place way back in 15th-century in Kerala. Urumi revolves around four young men whose plan is to kill Portuguese explorer Vasco Da Gama. This magnum opus is being directed by Santosh Sivan. Prithvi Raj, Santhosh Sivan and Shaji Natesan are producing the film under August Cinema banner. Deepak Dev is scoring the music for this film.
Urumi is all set to hit the screens worldwide in four languages on March 31, 2011 as a big summer treat.
