Bollywood Actress Tabu is Maximum’s item girl

Tabu has seemingly been asked to do an item song for the forthcoming Sonu Sood-Naseeruddin Shah starrer 'Maximum'.

Although she has taken a break from Hindi movies, the 40-year-old actress was approached to sizzle in the track.

The movie has been written and directed by Kabeer Kaushik, and features stars like Neha Dhupia and Vinay Pathak.

The film is scheduled to release on April 13.

Tabu spents 'Cheeni Kum' moments with Big B in hospital

Amitabh Bachchan tells he loved spending time with his "Cheeni Kum" co-star Tabu when she visited him at the Seven Hills Hospital, where he has been under observation since the past 12 days.

"The wonderful Tabu visited today and spent sizeable time, talking of many connected and unconnected issues. Of film and nature, of quality and appreciation and, of course, her own considerations on the kind of films she wanted to be associated with," Amitabh wrote on his blog.

"A joy always to be with her," he posted.

R. Balakrishnan's "Cheeni Kum", released in 2007, narrated a love story between an egoistic 64-year-old chef (Big B), who falls for a much younger girl (Tabu). The film was critically acclaimed.

Irrfan Khan and Tabu to be seen together in Life of Pi

After their outstanding chemistry received rave reviews in Vishal Bharadwaj’s Maqbool and Mira Nair’s Namesake the duo of Irrfan Khan and Tabu were never seen together in any other films. The reasons attached to it were the alleged link-up from sections of media [which both the actors denied] apart from the actors denying the perfect script for them to enact in.

Now, both will be seen together in internationally acclaimed filmmaker/Oscar winner, Ang Lee’s film, Life of Pi. The film sees 17-year-old Suraj Sharma, a New Delhi student with no previous acting experience essaying the role of Pi. Incidentally Tabu and Irrfan have done cross border films, so it was easier for Lee to rope them in.

Life of Pi is a based on a fantasy adventure novel written by Yann Martel. The characters of Irrfan and Tabu are kept under wraps. The film is scheduled for a December 14th release next year.

So it’s a long wait for fans of Tabu and Irrfan.
