Alejandro rose-garcia (aka shakey graves)from austin, TX is a one man band and the total package. Boots, kicking drums, tambourine, guitar, smart lyrics, and a killer stage presence. He has something you can't teach. I find myself thinking how wonderful it would be to drink whiskey with this guy and pick his brain. Check out his album via bandcamp below.

Neil Young and Crazy Horse Psychedelic Pill.

Psychedelic Pill is classic Neil and Crazy Horse, with the 25 minute long opening track “Driftin’ Back” setting the pace for an album of classic rock, lengthy jam sessions and stinging guitar. It’s exactly what Neil has always been so good at doing and why he is such a legend.

Tonight I see my Favorite band of all time - Radiohead. In honor of that I give you some(but by no means all)of my ultimate Radiohead goose bump moments.

note:these are in no particular order

The quickening moment in 'Reckoner' when Thom starts oohing back into the chorus (around the 3:17 mark)



"It's going to be a glorious day/ I feel my luck could change" climax in 'Lucky' (around the 2:20 mark)



Jonny Greenwood's guitar solo in 'Paranoid Android' (around the 3:00 mark)



"And it wears him out" climax when Jonny Greenwood's guitar ramps into gear in 'Fake Plastic Trees' (around the 2:20 mark)



Thom's vocal in 'Let Down' after the bridge and when the harmonies come in at 4:00 with "one day, I am going to grow wings"



"Immerse your soul in love" at the end of 'Street Spirit' (around the 3:50 mark)



The drum solos at the the beginning of 'There There' and the epic conclusion around 4:00 mark

Delta Spirit

Delta Spirit.

I had the pleasure of witnessing this BADASS band first hand last March at SXSW. I'd go as far as to say one of the best acts I've ever seen. I'm such a sucker for the harmonica.

I had a really hard time narrowing down the videos I wanted to share. Every album I own is ridiculous.  Sorry to those of you on my email list.. I know the videos don't show up.

Edward Sharpe.

Anyone who knows me knows my love for Edward. His sophomore album, HERE, which came out in May is one of my favorite albums this year. If you haven't listened to it yet shame on you. Buy it, download it, get it, own it, love it and listen to it on REPEAT. :) Word.

Street Style SXSW

Just got back from SX and wanted to share some of the latest styles I saw on the streets. Some styles were a bit over the top but certain trends can be toned down a bit and incorporated into your every day wardrobe. Major trends this year were colored denim, maxi skirts, mixed patters and vests... lots of vests. 

The vintage shopping in Austin is out of control. I wish I would have had more time to scour through all the treasures. My favorite purchase of the trip was this AMAZING vintage sequin butterfly top! Now if only I had some place to wear this bad boy... maybe in NYC next weekend?!
