Island Bar, Cockatoo Island.
What a perfect Sunday.... took a ferry out to Cockatoo Island and spent the arvo in the sun with great peeps, great drinks and great tunes. Thanks Island Bar for bringing a little Louisiana love to me.
If you haven't been to Cockatoo Island I highly recommend it.

Juli

Nusa Lembongan, Bali.
I was lucky enough to spend an entire week on this little island paradise right off the coast of Bali. Waking up when the sun rises and going to sleep when the sun sets.... lots of time for reflection and the perfect way to spend the last week of 2012.
Now back to the main island to ring in 2013 in style. Hope yall all have a safe and happy New Year. xo

Juli

Glamping at Paperbark Camp

Paperbark Camp, Jervis Bay, NSW, Australia.
Glamping (glamourous camping) is a growing phenomenon. It’s the best of both worlds. One can experience the splendor of the great outdoors without giving up the luxury hotel amenities we all love so much. What if you could have fine dining amongst the Eucalyptus treetops without swatting a single fly? What about sleeping under the stars with the sounds of the bush to lull you to sleep while nestled in Egyptian cotton sheets? Two words: Paperbark Camp.Paperbark Camp is located in beautiful Jervis Bay in the Shoalhaven region and is only a two-hour drive south of Sydney. Shoalhaven is known for it's white sand beaches, clear calm waters and pristine coastal bush landscapes. Paperbark offers 12 luxury canvas tents that are each built above ground. Each tent includes a wrap around verandah, hard wood floors, solar power lighting, hot showers, free standing baths, insect screening, bathrobes and so much more.
Whether it’s an active outdoor holiday that you want or a nice relaxing get away from the hectic city life Paperbark has something for everyone. Surfing in the morning followed by a picnic lunch and an afternoon hike through the mangrove forests? Not a problem! How about a nice lounge by the beach with a great read followed by a therapeutic massage or maybe a relaxing bath and a candlelight dinner? Not a problem either! Honestly amazing. In addition, complimentary bikes and canoes are available for an eco-friendly way to enjoy the area. Is this place for real? Sounds like the perfect weekend getaway to me. Sign me up!

Juli

Green Village.

Green Village.
Green Village, founded by jewelry designer John Hardy and designed by his daughter Elora, is a community of sustainable and ecological houses sitting along the Ayung River in Bali. Each of the homes are made entirely of bamboo, from Bali-based bamboo and construction company Ibuku, from the window frames to the staircase, tables, chairs, floors, and even the cabinets and the walls. Did you know that with very little attention or additional resources, a bamboo shoot can become a structural column within three years and that house could stand strong for a lifetime? RAD.
