Actor John Abraham out on bail of Rs 20,000

We had reported that John Abraham might have to spend fifteen days in custody, following rash driving and negligent driving in 2006. However, the Bombay High Court released the actor on bail of Rs 20,000.

John’s rash driving caused injury to two persons, following which he was convicted by the

Metropolitan Magistrate Court

at Bandra.

On October 14, 2010, the actor was sentenced to a 15-day jail term. He was granted bail the same day.

Actor John Abraham involves in Jaffna politics about LTTE’s activities

John Abraham will soon be seen in a political thriller about LTTE’s activities in Sri Lanka, the movie being titled Jaffna. The movie will be directed by Shoojit Sircar. John will co-produce the movie.

“John is a politically aware actor. He reads the newspaper every morning, knows what’s going on in the world. He is clued in to the dynamics of the separatist strife in Sri Lanka. The minute I told him about my film ‘Jaffna’, he was on board,” told Sircar.

John will have to make a few trips to Sri Lanka, to get a hang of the political situation in the country.

“I am no stranger to themes of separatism and extremist violence. My first film ‘Yahaan’ was about Kashmiri separatism. And now ‘Jaffna’ would be carrying the theme of extremism to another extreme,” told Sircar.

The director is not willing to talk much about John’s character in the film. However, he says that the actor will have to work very hard to live upto the film’s story.

Actress Deepika Padukone and John Abraham Joins Back

Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and John Abraham who lastly made their debut onscreen pairing with Rohit Dhawan's directorial venture 'Desi Boyz' are now roped in again by a Hollywood filmmaker to dub a Hindi version. The duo would apparently lend their voices for Hollywood sci-fi film 'John Carter'. 

 

According to the grapevine, the duo also shares cordial relation with each other and are good friends. Trade analysts even suggest that the couple's pairing has got thumbs up from youngsters in their last release. Apparently, the news has neither got confirmation from John as well as Deepika. 

However, sources close to the actors reveal that they would consider the role as there is no point in declining it. But coordinating their dates may be the only hurdle. Recently, Deepika walked out of Abbas-Mustan's 'Race 2' in which she was paired opposite John, reasoning her dates were clashing with Ayan Mukherjee's 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani' opposite Ranbir Kapoor. And maybe she will make up for it this time.
